Count every traveller
Include infants and children in the passenger count. Tell the team each child’s age, height and weight to check a suitable restraint. Advertised seats do not establish that all requested car seats and bags fit together.
Request the actual restraint
Specify rear-facing seat, forward-facing seat or booster as appropriate. Confirm the type and availability in writing. The displayed child-seat allowance is a planning amount, not proof that a particular seat has been allocated.
Strollers and luggage
List strollers, large cases, carry-ons and travel cots. A folded stroller uses luggage room and a full family group may need a larger vehicle. Ask about installed restraints before accepting a smaller car.
Arrival and return preparation
Keep essential supplies accessible through arrival formalities. Reconfirm child seats for the return as well as the arrival. Check airline and airport departure requirements, including US preclearance when applicable.
