Aruba Airport Pickup Time: Landing Time or After Immigration?

Which time belongs in your transfer request?

Check the field label. For scheduled flight arrival, use the local Aruba date and time shown on your flight itinerary; do not add an estimated immigration buffer to that field. If the form instead asks for a vehicle pickup time, ask the provider how to enter it. Send the flight number, operating airline and full hotel name so the booking team can confirm the correct arrangement in writing.

Landing, immigration and the meeting point are different stages

Aruba Airport Authority describes the arrival sequence as leaving the aircraft, immigration, baggage claim, customs and then the arrivals hall. Its guide directs travellers with prearranged transport to follow the signs to the relevant area. Keep the transfer confirmation available and follow its current meeting instructions; the official airport guide does not identify a universal meeting spot for every private operator.

Should you add a fixed buffer after landing?

There is no single clearance time that fits every flight or passenger. Aircraft parking, queues, baggage delivery and individual assistance needs affect when you can meet a vehicle. Give the flight details first and ask how your provider handles the gap between landing and meeting. If you agree a specific pickup time, have that time, its Aruba local date and the meeting point written on the confirmation.

Confirm flight monitoring and waiting before booking

Ask whether the provider monitors your flight, which flight number it uses and when any included waiting period begins. Establish what happens after that allowance expires, how extra waiting is charged and how to contact the booking team. Flight monitoring and unlimited waiting are different services. Neither should be assumed from the words private transfer, meet and greet or airport pickup.

What changes if your flight or baggage is delayed?

Send a revised flight number and arrival date if you are rebooked, especially when a missed connection moves your arrival to another day. A message about the original flight may not identify the replacement service. For delayed baggage after landing, contact the transfer team using your confirmation details and agree what happens next before leaving the meeting area. Keep a working contact number available; the driver may not be able to reach you through airport Wi-Fi.

Use Aruba local time for the date as well as the hour

Aruba uses Atlantic Standard Time, UTC−4, throughout the year. Use the date of arrival in Aruba rather than automatically copying the date your journey starts. When relatives fly from different countries, compare their local Aruba arrival details. For a hotel-to-airport return, provide the departure flight separately: its departure time is not the hotel pickup time, and arrival-transfer instructions do not determine the return schedule.

Your hotel check-in time does not set the airport pickup

An early flight can reach Aruba before a room is available. Ask the hotel about luggage storage or early arrival independently of the road transfer. Give the exact property name and entrance, particularly for similarly named Marriott, RIU or Divi properties. Choosing a later car pickup does not establish that the hotel will admit you earlier, and a confirmed vehicle does not guarantee a room is ready.

Before you fly: check the written confirmation

Confirm the service date, flight details, meeting instructions, passengers, luggage, child-seat requests, complete fare and waiting conditions.
